• Spoto, Donald, Lenya: A Life (1989).
• Riva, Maria Marlene Dietrich by Her Daughter (1993).
• Roth, Joseph, What I Saw: Reports from Berlin 1920 – 1933 (2003). It’s a series of very bleak news articles from the time, not strictly an autobiography.
• Shirer, William, Berlin Diary: the Journal of a Foreign Correspondent 1931-1941 (2002).
